"Die Sisis Informationssysteme GmbH und FAST Search & Transfer (TM) (FAST (TM)) haben eine weit reichende Zusammenarbeit über die Integration der FAST Suchtechnologien vereinbart. Fast Search & Transfer ASA (FAST) ist Anbieter von Such- und EchtzeitFiltertechnologien, mit denen Unternehmen geschäftskritische Informationen verwalten können. Die Technologie ist flexibel und hoch skalierbar. Die integrative Plattform bietet unabhängig vom Medium einen schnellen Zugriff auf die gewünschten Informationen und reduziert durch die optimale Ausnutzung der bestehenden IT-Infrastruktur die Total Cost of Ownership. Die Technologie unterstützt 250 Dateiformate und 77 Sprachen. Sisis wird in sein Bibliothekssystem SISIS-SunRise sowie in seine Portallösungen SISIS-Elektra und SISIS-InfoGuide die Suchtechnologie des führenden Suchmaschinenherstellers FAST integrieren. Neben der hervorragenden Suchperformance bietet die FAST Suchtechnologie umfangreiche analytische und linguistische Verfahren zur Erzielung eines hohen Maßes an Fehlertoleranz und der Berücksichtigung aller grammatikalischen Varianten bei der Suche im SISIS-SunRise Katalog und dem SISIS-SunRise webOPAC. Die Ergebnisreihenfolgen unterliegen Rankingregeln, welche kundenspezifisch optimiert werden können. Dynamische Navigatoren ermöglichen eine zielgerichtete komfortable Navigation des Nutzers in den Ergebnislisten. In SISIS-Elektra und SISIS-InfoGuide wird neben den oben genannten Verbesserungen die Recherche von Volltexten integriert werden. Diese können aus beliebigen digitalen Sammlungen stammen und werden mittels des neuen Sisis Produktes "Library Content Search Suite" indexiert und dem Endnutzer zur Recherche zur Verfügung gestellt. Sisis und die Universitätsbibliothek Bielefeld werden künftig im Hinblick auf die Integration und die Nutzung der FAST Suchmaschinen-Technologie in den Sisis Produkten SISIS-SunRise und SISIS-Elektra zusammen arbeiten. Die Kooperation umfasst den Austausch von Know-how auf der Anwendungsund Entwicklungsebene bei der Implementierung von FAST und die gemeinsame Definition und kooperative Durchführung von Anwendungskonzepten. Die Universitätsbibliothek Bielefeld liefert die Schnittstellen für bereits prozessierte Internetquellen, die zur Aufnahme in die neuen Sisis Produkte vorgesehen sind. Ziel der Kooperation ist es, die realisierten Produkte den Kunden der Sisis Informationssysteme GmbH in den unterschiedlichen Anwendungslösungen zu offerieren."
