Abstract

Die Aktivitäten der Anfangsphase bilden die Voraussetzung und das Fundament der romanistischen Lehrveranstaltungen in ihrer heutigen Form. Durch die ständige Präsenz der UB und ihrer Dienstleistungen in den Instituten und durch geeignete Marketingmaßnahmen ist es stufenweise gelungen, das Produkt "elektronische Fachinformation" optimal auf dem Markt zu platzieren. Unter dem Titel "Elektronische Dienste für Studium und Wissenschaft in der Universität Freiburg" fand bereits im November 1997 eine gemeinsame Informationsveranstaltung der Universitätsbibliothek und des Rechenzentrums in der UB statt. Interessenten hatten die Möglichkeit, sich an Informationsständen über neueste elektronische Dienste und Publikationen zu informieren. Die Fachreferenten stellten in diesem Rahmen erstmals eine Auswahl ihrer jeweiligen Fachdatenbanken einem größeren Publikum vor. Wen hat die Veranstaltung erreicht? Vor allem die Mitarbeiterinnen des Freiburger Bibliothekssystems, die die Infotage als Fortbildung in eigener Sache nutzten; zudem Hochschullehrer, die überwiegend selbst neue Medien in Forschung und Lehre einsetzten und - last but not least - einige neugierige Studenten.
