Abstract

Die Fachgruppe Fachinformation der Konferenz der Leiter/Innen der sächsischen Hochschulbibliotheken, die seit 1993 besteht und der Vertreter von Bibliotheken und auch von Fakultäten angehören, hat im März 2003 eine Evaluation von ca. 240 an den Universitäten und Fachhochschulen Sachsens genutzten oder zur Nutzung gewünschten Datenbanken abgeschlossen. Dienlich sein soll sie für Entscheidungen bezüglich weiterer Pauschalabkommen mit Hosts durch das Sächsische Staatsministerium für Wissenschaft und Kunst SMWK des Freistaates Sachsen. Im Zeitraum September bis Oktober 2002 hatte die Fachgruppe diese 240 Datenbanken ermittelt, thematisch zusammengestellt und ihre Wichtung durch Fachwissenschaftler aus allen Fakultäten der sächsischen Hochschulen sowie durch Fachreferenten und Informationsvermittler der Hochschulbibliotheken vorbereitet und veranlasst. Das Ergebnis ist in der Tabelle "Erfassung der an sächsischen Hochschulen genutzten Datenbanken" dargestellt, siehe Anlage 1. Im Ergebnis dieser Wichtungen werden in Sachsen hochschulübergreifend 30 der 240 Datenbanken als für die Fachwissenschaften unverzichtbar für die Deckung des Informationsbedarfs angesehen. Die "Datenbank-Prioritätsliste" in Anlage 2 verdeutlicht dies.
