Abstract

Der erste Vorschlag für das WWW wurde am CERN von Tim Berners-Lee 1989 gemacht und im weiteren von ihm und von Robert Cailliau 1990 verfeinert Ende dieses Jahres wurde bereits Prototyp-Software für ein Grundsystem demonstriert. Um seine Akzeptanz zu ermutigen, wurde eine Schnittstelle zum Dokumentationsstelle des CERN-Computerzentrums hergestellt, zum "Hilfeservice" und auch zu den vertrauten USENET-Newsgruppen.
