Abstract
Wer sich dieser Frage stellt, hat zumeist jene konkrete Aufgabe innerhalb einer bestimmten Zeit zu lösen und in ein übergeordnetes Umfeld zu integrieren. Dies trifft für die von der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) geförderten Virtuellen Fachbibliotheken zu. Ein Katalog für Internetquellen ist Bestandteil vieler dieser Projekte, verschiedene Lösungen wurden gefunden, immer mit der Zieldefinition, alle Lösungen später zusammenzuführen. Wie löst ViFaArt diese Aufgabe? Wie arbeitet man hier am Aufbau des ArtGuide, des Katalogs für Internetquellen? Fünf Fragen gilt es hierfür zu beantworten: - Warum wird ein solcher Katalog benötigt? Unter welchem "Dach" soll das Produkt Art-Guide gepflegt werden? - Welche Inhalte sollen im Art-Guide nachgewiesen werden (sowohl formal als auch thematisch)? - Weiches formale System kann diese Inhalte beschreiben? - Mit welchen Funktionalitäten soll der neue Katalog ausgestattet werden? - Weiche Technik kann all dies zusammenführen und darstellen?
