Abstract

Die ICR-/OCR-Technologie von B.I.T. ist in der Lage, Zeichen jeder Art zu lernen und zu erkennen, so auch alte Schrifttypen wie z. B. Fraktur. Spezielle Tools gleichen im Original vorhandene als auch beim Scannen erzeugte Qualitätsmängel weitestgehend aus. Der Anwender kann vorhandene OCRBibliotheken erweitern und eigene, auf das Lesegut abgestimmte Lexika erstellen. Ergänzend bietet B.I.T. eine interaktive Internetpräsentation an: Anzeige des Faksimiles oder eines vom Nutzer definierten Bereiches und dessen "Übersetzung" in eine aktuelle Type, schnelle Suche nach freien oder vorgegebenen Begriffen mit highlighting im Faksimile und im Ausgabetext.
