Content: Der folgende Text basiert auf einem Vortrag zu RAK und AACR, der während der AIBM-Tagung in Halle bei der Sitzung der AG Musikhochschulbibliotheken am 18. September 2002 gehalten wurde. Dabei ging es um die aktuelle Diskussion über einen eventuellen Umstieg von deutschen auf internationale Regelwerke und Formate sowie um Auswirkungen eines solchen Umstiegs speziell auf den Musikbereich. Der Vortrag selbst wird in überarbeiteter und erweiterter Form im Novemberheft von Forum Musikbibliothek erscheinen. Hier folgt ein Auszug, der ausführlich auf Unterschiede zwischen RAK-Musik und AACR2 eingeht. Es sei angemerkt, dass die Verfasserin aktiv nach RAK-Musik katalogisiert, ihre Beschäftigung mit AACR2 jedoch rein theoretischer Art war.
