Abstract

Mit der zunehmenden Verbreitung des Intemets eröffnen sich für die verschiedensten wissenschaftlichen Disziplinen neue Möglichkeiten. Als neues Medium vereint das Internet die meisten bisherigen Medien wie Buch, Rundfunk und Film. Durch direkte Verknüpfungsmöglichkeiten ist die Struktur auch nicht mehr linear, und es ist interaktiv. Diese Eigenschaften machen es für jeden Wissenschaftler attraktiv, das Angebot zu nutzen. Sozialwissenschaftler können Medieninhalte analysieren, Bibliothekare Bücher und Aufsätze, Literaturwissenschaftler Romane, Lyrik und Poesie, denn alles steht irgendwo im Internet. Ein weiterer Vorteil liegt in der Maschinenlesbarkeit der Daten, die Zugangsprobleme gegenüber herkömmlichen Medien minimiert. Weiterhin entstehen im Internet neue Informationsangebote, die die verschiedenen Wissenschaftsdisziplinen zu einer Analyse herausfordern. Eine standardisierte Methodik zur Analyse von Inhalten des Internets existiert noch nicht, da grundlegende Probleme einer Klärung bedürfen, sowohl in technischer als auch in inhaltlicher Hinsicht
