Abstract
Ziel der Ausführungen ist es, den Verantwortungsbegriff zu analysieren. Beleuchtet werden dabei die geschichtlichen Veränderungen am Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts, die zu einem grundsätzlichen Wandel der Grundlagen unserer Gesellschaft geführt haben. Der Begriff der Verantwortung ist im Laufe dieses Wandels zu einer philosophischen Schlüsselkategorie geworden, was vermuten läßt, dass der Verantwortungsbegriff nicht unabhängig von gesellschaftlichen Grundlagen zu sehen ist. Mit Hilfe des näher bestimmten Begriffs soll versucht werden, zu einer Einschätzung des Aussage von J. Robert Oppenheimer zu kommen
