Content: "Am 31.01.2008 kamen auf Einladung des dbv ca. 50 Vertreter des Kooperationsverbundes der Deutschen Internetbibliothek (DIB) zur Beratung und Entscheidung über die Zukunft der DIB in Berlin zusammen. Dem waren intensive Diskussionen im dbv-Vorstand und dem dbv-Beirat auf der Grundlage einer im Sommer 2007 unter den dbv-Mitgliedern durchgeführten Umfrage vorausgegangen. Der dbv-Beirat hatte festgelegt, dass der dbv künftig nicht mehr Projektträger der DIB sein, sondern die Überleitung in ein neues Modell begleiten solle. Nach längerer Diskussion erging ein mehrheitliches Votum für die Weiterführung der DIB auf der Plattform InfoDesk des Bibliotheksservice-Zentrums Baden-Württemberg (BSZ). Der dbv wird jetzt einen Rahmenvertrag mit dem BSZ aushandeln und für die Einsetzung eines fachlichen DIB-Beirates sorgen. Der Rahmenvertrag soll innerhalb von ein bis zwei Monaten ausgehandelt und formuliert sein. Anschließend ergeht ein Vertragsangebot an alle Bibliotheken des Kooperationsverbundes. Der DIB-Beirat soll sich in ein bis zwei Monaten nach den Voten der Sektionen konstituieren. Ihm werden künftig wichtige Funktionen zukommen."
