Abstract

Mittlerweile hat das eBook auch in Deutschland Einzug gehalten. Auf der letzten Frankfurter Buchmesse wurde den kleinen elektronischen Lesegeräten viel Aufmerksamkeit geschenkt. Die Verleihung des ersten Frankfurt-Book-Award lockte zahlreiche Medien an und wollte als Auftakt in ein neues Zeitalter des Lesens verstanden werden. Der Vortrag liefert einen Überblick des derzeitigen eBook-Marktes in Deutschland. Lesegeräte, eBookSoftware und online-Buchhändler werden vorgestellt und unter den Aspekten Format und Standard aufgereiht
