Abstract
Für Informationsvermittlungsstellen wird der Nachweis ihres Nutzens und einer wirtschaftlichen Arbeitsweise immer bedeutender. Controlling liefert wertvolle Instrumente hierfür. Dieser Beitrag beschreibt die Schwierigkeiten, die in Zusammenhang mit der Leistungsmessung von Informationsdienstleistungen auftreten: Probleme, welche sich durch die besondere 'Beschaffenheit' des Faktors Information ergeben und solche, die durch das Umfeld IVS bedingt sind. Es werden die Nutzenkomponenten der Ressource Information herausgearbeitet. Die Voraussetzungen für die Einführung eines Leistungsbewertungs- und Kennzahlensystems sowie Bewertungsobjekte und -kriterien, Bewertungsebenen und -perspektiven werden beschrieben
