Abstract

Die Medienarchive befinden sich seit einigen Jahren in einem grundlegenden Strukturwandel, der vor allem auf die dynamische Entwicklung der Informations- und Kommunikationstechniken zurückgeht. Zentrale Strategien, die sich in der mediendokumentarischen Praxis zur Bewältigung dieses Strukturwandels herauskristallisieren, werden in diesem Beitrag aufgezeigt und mit Beispielen illustriert. Alle Strategien bewegen sich in einem Spannungsfeld von 3 bestimmenden Zielen: Kosteneffizienz, optimaler Technikeinsatz und konsequente Nutzerorientierung
