Abstract

The Funk and Wagnalls Unabridged Encyclopedia is available on DVD-ROM and is expected to contribute to the success of DVD-ROM in the same way that the early multimedia encyclopedias (Compton's and Microsoft Encarta) helped CD-ROM become established. Describes the efforts that were made to develop this DVD-ROM and WWW hybrid database
