Abstract

Reviews and compares the 1998 multimedia online and CD-ROM editions of Encyclopaedia Britannica. Discusses search facilities and describes the major unique features of both the online and CD-ROM versions. Both versions are excellent reference sources. The CD-ROM version (single user) is available for around $ 80 and the yearly subcription price for the online version is $ 8,50 per month or $ 85 per year
