Abstract

Ein Überblick über die augenblickliche Lage der Entwicklungen elektronischer Bibliotheken in Großbritannien wird geboten. Die regulative und finanzielle Umgebung wird zuerst beschrieben, darauf folgen die vielen zentral geförderten Initiativen. Das führt zu einer Überprüfung der Ziele der Programme und einer Analyse der Methoden, diese zu erreichen
