Abstract

Even as libraries become more technical and technologically challenging in their use, reference librarians have to be aware of the human aspects viable in the performance of their duty. They are challenged to recognize their diverse users and their needs, be clear in their definition of the terminology used in this new era, emphasize critical thinking and the existence of print, be honest in their quest for innovations at staffing the reference desk, and finally be willing to learn as much as possible
