"... wer annimmt, daß Wissen im Netz künftig für alle Bildungswilligen frei oder doch preiswert und jederzeit verfügbar werde, erliegt nach Ansicht des Kulturwissenschaftlers Stefan Krempl ebenfalls einem Trugschluß. Krempl vermutet, daß der Zugang zu Bildungsinhalten küftig stärker denn je vom Einkommensniveau abhängen wird. Als Beispiel nannte er die Virtuelle Universität von Phoenix, die ihren MBA-Abschluß über Präsenz- und Fernstudium anbietet. Präsenszstudenten berechnet die Hochschule eine Studiengebühr in Höhe von $ 50.000, die sich an der Virtuellen Universität eingeschrieben haben, müssen $ 30.000 mehr bezahlen"
