Abstract

Following the annual toy fair in London, manufacturers are invited to submit their toys for appraisal by the National Association of Toy and Leisure Libraries (NATLL), which has 8 appraisal centres around the UK. Children and families are involved in the testing process over a 3 month period as well as professionals. Explains how the toys which eventually feature in the NATLL Good Toy Guide get recommended and what they have to do to pass the tests
