Abstract
In der Wissensgesellschaft ist das Buch nicht mehr das, was es früher war - die optimale Einehit von Archiv- und Informationsmedium; die Bibliothek ist nicht mehr das, was sie früher war - ein Ort an dem man vorwiegend in Buchform publizierte Druckerzeugnisse sammelt; das Wissensmanagement ist nicht mehr das, was es früher war - menschliches Wissen, das man hauptsächlich in Buchform verwaltet, und die Wissenschaft ist nicht mehr das, was sie früher war - die Domäne einzelner genialer Forscher, die mit Versuch und Irrtum neue Erkenntnisse suchen. Gerade darum gewinnen Buch, Bibliothek und Wissen in ihrer modernen Form in der Welt des Internet eine noch größere Bedeutung
