Announces the release of a Japanese version of the Microsoft Encarta Multimedia Encyclopedia. The development of this product is in response to the expected 300% increase in PC ownership in Japan over the next 5 years. British, French, German, and Spanish editions of the title have been very successful due in part to the value of the disc in comparison with a print encyclopedia
