Abstract

Es wird die Entwicklungsgeschichte EDV-gestützter Auskunftssysteme auf dem Umweltsektor aufgezeigt. Dabei werden beschrieben: DORIS (Dornier-Recycling-Informationssystem), UMPLIS (Umwelt-Planungs- und Informationssystem), insbesondere AWIDAT (Abfallwirtschaftliche Datenbank) sowie EWADAT (Europäische Abfallwirtschaftsdatenbank). Die einzelnen Dateien (Abfallarten, Kataster, Verwerter, Anlagen, Technologien, etc.) und die verwendeten Klassifizierungs- und Verschlüsselungssysteme werden beschrieben. Für den Benutzer solcher Auskunftssysteme werden die Daten insbesondere dan zusätzlich interessant, wenn sie durch die entsprechenden Verknüpfungsstrukturen sinnvoll miteinander verknüpft werden können. Als wesentliche Verschlüsselungssystematiken werden benutzt: LAGA-Schlüssel der Länderarbeitsgemeinschaft Abfall für Abfallarten, Branchenkennzahlen, Postleitzahlen, Orts- und Länderkennziffern, Warenschlüssel, u.a.
