Abstract
Es erscheint notwendig, einen neuen, weiter gefaßten Rahmen für die Beschreibung von begriffen und ihren Beziehungen einzuführen. Danach sollte ein Begriffssystem 4 Grundfunktionen erfüllen: 1. Benennung, d.h. systematischer Zusammenhang zwischen sprachlichen Benennungsausdrücken (Nominalgruppen) und ihren Bedeutungen (Begriffen), 2. Strukturabbildung, d.h. formale Darstellung der Beziehungen zwischen den Begriffen, 3. Tranformations- und Integrationsbasis für Benennungen in verschiedenen Sprachen, für verschiedene Terminologien und für Notationen verschiedener Klassifikationssysteme, 4. Grundlage für logische Schlüsse und für Relevanzentscheidungen (Information Retrieval). Der Beitrag befaßt sich mit den Bauprinzipien eines Begriffssystems für diese Forderungen
