Abstract

Ein Zukunfts-Szenario für Bibliotheken läßt sich nur eröffnen, wenn die finanzielle Ausstattung entscheidend verbessert wird. Daneben wird es darauf ankommen, die elektronischen Medien höchst differenziert in die Dienstleistungen zu integrieren, in der Leseerziehung aktiv zu werden, die Öffnungszeiten zu verlängern und die eigene Leistungsfähigkeit gehörig zu kommunizieren, um weiterhin als zentrale Informationsstelle akzeptiert zu werden
