Examines ways in which bibliographic control of Turkey's manuscript collection can be improved. There are around 600.000 volumes, almost exclusively Islamic manuscripts. Discusses the current position of manuscripts; factors influencing a feasible approach to manuscript cataloguing; and a realistic approach to cooperative cataloguing
