Abstract

Häufiger denn je wird an die Leiter der Fachinformationsabteilungen die Forderung gestellt: Arbeitet wirtschaftlicher und spart Kosten! Diese Stellen haben es jedoch schwer, ihre wirtschaftliche Arbeitsweise und ihre Wirtschaftlichkeit für das Unternehmen zu beweisen, was sie leicht in Mißkredit bringen kann. Dies liegt zum einen an der Schwierigkeit, den Nutzen von Fachinformation zu bewerten, da schlecht zu errechnen ist, wie groß der Anteil der Information an der Erzeugung von Produkten, Dienstleistungen und am endgültigen Unternehmenserfolg ist. Zum anderen liegt dies auch daran, daß eine von der Unternehmensführung akzeptierte Methode dafür fehlt. Der Beitrag stellt eine in der Praxis bewährte Methode vor
