Abstract

Der elektronische Datenaustausch (Electronic Data Interchange, EDI) stellt ein Lösungskonzept zur Verringerung der Kommunikationszeiten zwischen Unternehmen dar. EDI umfaßt den Austausch strukturierter Geschäftsdokumente zwischen Computeranwendungssystemen verschiedener Geschäftspartner. Im Rahmen einer repräsentativen Befragung zum Einsatz der Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologie (IuK-Technologie) wurde knapp 1.800 Unternehmen des Produzierenden Gewerbes mit mehr als 50 Beschäftigten in den alten Bundesländern ein Fragebogen zugeschickt; hierbei betrug die Rücklaufquote über 38%. Die aus den Antworten abzuleitenden Ergebnisse werden im folgenden dargestellt
