Abstract

The Communications Decency Act provisions of the Telecommunications Act of 1996, USA, has provoked opposition due to its potential impact on the Internet. Journalists have filed a legal challenge and the American Civil Liberties Union and 20 other organizations have obtained a restraining order. Gives examples of the types of communications that would be covered by the act anf gives details of WWW sites with information on the act
