Abstract

The book is now part of the school library's media range. This has affected new media prepaartion, cataloguing and methodic use. The school library should remain a centre for reading, part of its role as an internal and worldwide communication centre. Pupils should have contact with real people and things, not just the television screen. Hardware and software provision must be carefully financed. Those in charge of the school library must receive advanced training
