Abstract

The author imagines that he is writing the review in 1999 and looks back over the 10 years to see the effects of CD-ROM application on libraries. Predicts the outcome of the ADONIS project, CD-ROM and local networks; CD-ROMs in the developing countries; and the interaction between CD-ROM and the economic constraints under which libraries operate.
