Discusses the development of DANLIB-base, a computerized database of the Danish National Bibliography and of the holdings of research and special libraries in Denmark, and of records from the BNB and LoC. Reviews the development of joint databases since the 1970s in Denmark and the motivation behind DANLIB-base which has been online since 1994 but is still in development. Notes plans for the addition of public library holdings, and of Artikelbasen (the article database) whoich indexes Danish journals, to DANLIB-base
