Abstract

21 sites have integrated informal departmental collections with library systems. Respondents from these sites offered recommendations on assessing feasibility, identifying collections, establishing work roles, and choosing centralized versus decentralized approaches for sharing information about departmental collections. They identified political and practical issues, and provided both success stories and notes of caution
